  • NEW!! The initial letter that gives more information, including rates, about the new Medicare Advantage plans that are being offered to members enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B will be mailed the week of October 21, 2013.The map of the Illinois counties that the HMO plans are available will be included in the enrollment kit, which member will receive prior to the fall Open Enrollment Period start date of November 12, 2013. 10/21/13
  • NEW!! The Medicare Advantage plan administrators phone numbers are available. The Retiree Medicare Advantage Seminar Schedule will be posted as soon as it is finalized. Initial letters have been mailed to all impacted members. NOTE: All impacted members should receive their Medicare Enrollment Packet the week of November 11th. 10/28/13
  • NEW!! Central Management Services, Group Insurance Division, has been receiving a number of questions from retirees regarding their ability to move between original Medicare and a Medicare Advantage plan. This Medicare Tip Sheet, produced by federal Medicare, outlines the general requirements for an individual to move between these types of plans. 11/06/13
  • A new seminar location was added to the TRAIL Seminar Schedule for November 14 at the Hope Evangelical Church in Springfield. 11/05/13
  • A new seminar location was added to the TRAIL Seminar Schedule for November 27 at the DoubleTree Suites in Downers Grove. 11/04/13
  • A new seminar location was added for December 3 at Kaskaskia College to the TRAIL Seminar Schedule. 10/30/13
  • A new hotline will be operational beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 25th. The hotline will assist members with completing the TRAIL Enrollment Form. The number is 1-800-610-2091 and will be available 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday during the Open Enrollment Period. Members may leave a message if their call is unanswered and someone will call them back. 11/24/13
  • If you are a Medicare retiree who received a Welcome Letter from UnitedHealthcare, please be advised that you will not be billed directly by UnitedHealthcare for your premiums. Your monthly premium contribution will continue to be deducted the same way it is currently being deducted. 12/27/13

    • Effective July 1, 2009 diagnostic hearing exams performed by an audiologist are covered up to $150 and hearing aids are covered up to $600 every three Plan years.
